Hi everyone.
There is an Arcade Event at the Dimond Center April 26th during mall hours. We will have a Bomberman tournament at 3PM and a Smash Brothers tournament starting at 4PM.
For the Smash Brothers tournament, rules and information can be found here as well as the information on the Bomberman tournament. Prizes will go to first and second place winners, with a special grand prize to be awarded to the person who defeats the grand Bomberman Master, Josh Totman, president of Auroracorp and founder of the Auroracon. He claims to be the best in town. Can you beat him?
If you have volunteered or helped out in any way please write me, tell me what you did and your name. There will be a special volunteer appreciation day where you will receive prizes, play special games and be given free food. This event is invitation only so sign up quick as it only a few weeks away.
Next is Rockband. The Rockband tournament will feature a battle of the bands style game setup. Practice, sign up here*, and read the rules here. This takes place at Bernie's Bungalow Lounge, so you must be 21 or older to enter. Auditions will happen on Saturday, May 31st, and Sunday June 1st, from 4 pm to 9 pm. To audition you must bring a signed statement*, valid I.D., and $1. The top finalists will put on a performance June 7th in front of an audience. Judges and the audience will decide who is the winner. We require a part for every instrument, so if you are short a member, post your needs on the forum and find a partner to jam with you.
As a side note, the forums can be used to find other Halo players for your group. I am going to be looking for a mixed group of players and one all female group much like the frag dolls for an all female competition.
We are working with Providence hospital for a large charity event soon. If you would like to be a part of this and donate time, money or things to help the children's hospital please stay in touch and write in.
Also soon “Saga: Millenia's Solitude” will be up to download soon. It is being entered into the PAX video game tournament and I'd enjoy your thoughts and support in presenting this game at the convention this August.
We are looking for a spot for another few Halo tournaments. For those of you chomping at the bit to play more know that we are currently gathering resources to bring you the biggest and best Halo tournaments ever in Alaska. Trust me. It will be worth the wait. Also working on Call of Duty 4 and Rainbow 6.
